What couple friendly means for a girl's visit to your room
On booking apps and hotel pages, couple friendly usually means one thing: two adults, married or not, may check in to one room together if both show a valid photo ID. It is a rule about check-in. It says nothing clear about a visitor who comes up later for two or three hours and then leaves.
That gap is where hotel visits go wrong. A hotel can welcome an unmarried couple at check-in and still stop a woman at the lift at 10 PM because her name is not on the room. So when you pick a couple friendly hotel for an evening with one of our girls, treat the tag as a good sign, not a promise. Ask 'Are you couple friendly?' and the answer may be yes. Ask 'Can a friend visit me in my room tonight?' and you may hear something else.
ID at the front desk: yours, hers, and the local ID problem
Most hotels ask for an original photo ID from every adult who stays in the room: an Aadhaar card, a passport or a driving licence. Many also ask a visitor to show one at the desk, or to write her name in a register before she goes up. If you are a foreign guest, the hotel will note your passport and visa details as well. None of this is a problem if you know about it before she sets out.
The local ID problem is different. Some hotels in Bangalore will not give a room to a guest whose ID shows a Bangalore address, and a few apply the same rule to visitors. It catches out men who live in the city and take a room near home for one night. If your own ID has a Bangalore address, ask about it before you pay, not at the counter.
Ask the front desk these questions before you book her
Call the hotel on its own phone number before you book her, not only through the app's chat. The person at the front desk knows the real rule. Ask in plain words: a friend is coming to see you, and you want to know what she needs at the desk. You do not owe them more detail than that.
Better still, check in first and book the girl after. Then you know your room number, you have seen the desk, and you can ask the question in person. Write down the name of whoever said yes. If the night staff say no later, a name and a time from the front desk help.
a two-minute call
- Can a visitor come up to my room, or only meet me in the lobby?
- Until what time can a visitor stay?
- Does a visitor show an ID or sign a register at the desk?
- Do you accept a guest ID with a Bangalore address?
- Is there a charge if a second person stays the night?
- Will the night staff know the visitor rule too?
Couple friendly tags on booking apps, and what they miss about her visit
Most booking apps let you filter for couple friendly rooms, and some also mark hotels that accept a local ID. Use both filters, then open the hotel's policy section and read every line about visitors, ID and unmarried guests. If the policy says nothing about visitors, take that as 'not sure', not as 'yes'. Recent guest reviews help too; look for any that mention visitors.
A search for couple friendly hotels near me puts the closest rooms first, not the ones with the best visitor rule. Look a little wider. A hotel a few minutes further away that clearly allows visitors beats the one next door that might not. Some apps also sell rooms by the hour or for the day, which suits a 2-hour booking; the same visitor questions apply to those rooms too.
Lodge, hotel or serviced apartment for her visit
Lodges are the cheapest rooms, and many stand near the Majestic bus stand and the City railway station. Their desks keep a register, and the man at the counter decides who goes up. Some lodges let a visitor in with an ID; some let nobody in at all. If you are staying in one, our Majestic page covers lodge bookings there.
Mid-range hotels have clearer rules and a front desk that works through the night. Koramangala has plenty of small hotels and serviced apartments between its blocks. If you search for couple friendly hotels in Koramangala, check the visitor rule the same way, because the tag alone does not cover it. The girls who live there are on our Koramangala page.
Serviced apartments feel more private, but many sit inside a building with a guard at the gate and a visitors' book, and some buildings do not allow visitors late at night. Near the tech parks of Electronic City, many men on a few weeks of project work stay in business hotels or serviced flats like these, so ask the building manager as well as the booking app.

What to tell the Neha Mari desk about your hotel
When you book with Neha Mari, give us the hotel name, the area and your room number, and tell us what the front desk said. Does she need her ID? Should she call you from the lobby or come straight up? Is there a time she must leave by? In a serviced apartment, warn the gate guard that a friend is coming. With those answers she comes ready, dressed for that hotel, and walks in like any guest's friend.
If a hotel will not allow visitors, do not try to slip her past the desk. Take the incall way and go to her place instead; it costs the same as her coming to you, and she adds no travel charge either way. More on how hotel and flat visits work is in our outcall notes.
